Currently an international postgraduate student of in the Queensland Conservatorium, Kevin has had a more than 10 years of experience in teaching music and singing to a variety students. After finishing his conducting degree at the University of the Philippines, Kevin put up his own studio where he taught music theory, voice and piano.

​

In 2020, he became the first studio scholar of the Arceo Voice Studio where he took voice lessons with Mr. Christopher Arceo. After 2 years with the AVS, he applied for the Queensland Conservatorium in Brisbane, Australia and was accepted into the Master of Music Studies Program. He also received an International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship and now studies Opera Performance with Dr. Margaret Schindler.

He is now a member of the St. Stephens's Cathedral Choir in Brisbane. He is also set to play the part of Heurtebise at the QCGU’s production entitled “Underworld” which will feature the Orpheus myth as told in three opera settings by Gluck, Offenbach and Glass.

​

Just recently, Kevin won first prize in the Open Sacred Song, Open Foreign Art Song and Opera Aria categories of the Queensland Vocal Competition and Festival held last May 27-28, 2023 at the University of Queensland School of Music, hosted by the Queensland Music Teachers Association.
