Jenson White is a Baritone from Brisbane, Queensland, studying a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the University of Queensland, under the guidance of Dr. Shaun Brown.
In 2024, Jenson was awarded the Ethel Osborne Prize, and the Margaret Nickson Prize for Voice and Piano in 2024 with his collaborative pianist Mac Johnson. For two consecutive years, Jenson was fortunate to be selected to perform with Opera Queensland in the Festival of Outback Opera chorus, as well as masterclasses for the Queensland Art Song Festival (2024, 2023).

Whilst studying at the University of Queensland, Jenson’s prowess has been displayed across various performances. His performance highlights include the roles of Il Conte Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro, conducted by Nathan Aspinall), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte, conducted by Dane Lam), and Pappacoda (Eine Nacht in Venedig) in fully staged opera productions. Furthermore, he has performed the roles of Valentin (Faust), Fritz (Die tote stadt), Eugene Onegin (Eugene Onegin), and Belcore (L’elisir d’amore) in selected opera scenes.

In March 2025, Jenson made his professional recital debut as the ‘Wild Card Mystery Guest’ alongside Mac Johnson, performing in Camerata’s Concert Series in QPAC Concert Hall & The Armitage Centre. Additionally, in May & June 2025, Jenson will travel to Provo, Utah for 3 weeks to participate in Brigham Young University’s Summer School Opera Program.
