Join Voxalis Opera in 2027

 

Voxalis Opera is seeking emerging and established classical singers for our 2027 productions, concerts, and artistic projects.

As Brisbane’s opera company, Voxalis Opera is committed to creating bold, intimate, and innovative performances while providing meaningful professional opportunities for Queensland artists, both established and emerging. Our work spans opera, art song, musical theatre, cabaret, and regional touring projects.

Eligibility

 

Applicants should:

• If you are an emerging artist, you need to be based in Brisbane and have the right to work in Australia.

  • Artists based interstate are welcome to apply, and need to have the right to work in Australia. 

• Have classical vocal training or equivalent professional experience

• Be available for rehearsals and performances in Brisbane and surrounding regions where applicable

Audition Requirements

 

Please submit:

• CV or short biography

• Headshot

• Two video recordings with two contrasting pieces. 

• Repertoire list

• Voice type and current location

​

Repertoire

 

Audition repertoire may include:

• Opera arias

• Art song

• Contemporary classical repertoire

• Musical theatre pieces are welcomed as long as an operatic piece is included in the application.
