Gianna Guttilla

Originally from Adelaide, Gianna Guttilla is an emerging soprano who received their Bachelor of Music and First Class Honours in Classical Voice from the Elder Conservatorium, University of Adelaide. Gianna made her professional opera role debut as Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi (Co-Opera 2022), touring with the company to Penola for the Coonawarra Arts Festival, Griffith NSW and central Adelaide. Gianna was also a featured soloist with Recitals Australia as part of their 2021 and 2022 Lunch Hour Series and was member of their 2022 Emerging Artists Fellowship program. She was most recently awarded the 2022 Adelaide Eisteddfod Vocal Prize at the Young Virtuoso Awards. In 2023, Gianna has commenced an Advanced Master of Music Studies in Performance Voice at Griffith University, under the tutelage of Dr. Margaret Schindler. Additionally, Gianna will be partaking in the 2023 Queensland Art Song Festival Masterclass series with Baritone Benjamin Appl and Sholto Kynoch, and is also delighted to be taking on the role of Eurydice in QCGU’s 2023 Opera Underworld.
