Annika is a versatile emerging artist who enjoys a vibrant career in both solo and ensemble performance. She has been engaged in 2024 and 2025 as an emerging artist for both Brisbane’s Springboard Opera and The Song Company in Sydney - with whom she stepped in to perform at their 40th Anniversary Gala Concert. Role highlights include two previous appearances with Voxalis Opera, singing the Sandman and Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel as well as Piacere (Pleasure) in Handel’s ‘The triumph of time and truth’. She has also sung the title role of Galatea in Handel’s ‘Acis and Galatea’, Miss Wordsworth in Britten’s ‘Albert Herring’, and the Fire/the Nightingale in Ravel's 'L'enfant et les sortilèges', in addition to covering Pamina in Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’. A Master's graduate of the QLD Conservatorium, Annika previously maintained a successful career as a church musician which culminated in serving as Interim Director and then Assistant Director of Music for Brisbane's Cathedral of St Stephen. She left the role in 2021, making her return to the stage as Louise in Lorzing's 'Der Opernprobe' with the Lisa Gasteen National Opera Program. Annika continues to have regular concert and oratorio engagements in addition to her growing operatic profile, with credits including Orff's Carmina Burana, Handel's Messiah, and Haydn's The Creation.
